A woman was found dead inside her home with a rope tied around her neck, according to police reports in New York.
Brooklyn Police said that they are investigating the suspicious death of a 56-year-old Flatbush area woman, who was found on the floor of her bedroom with a rope tied around her neck.
The decomposing body of the woman was found inside her home, which is located on Hubbard Place, around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, police said.
Her name was not released because police were unable to notify her family members.
Her body was discovered by her landlord, who entered her apartment after he smelled a foul odor, police said. He told police he had not seen his tenant or the man with whom she lived with, for about a month.
Investigators suspect that she was killed, police said.
An autopsy was scheduled to be carried out to see how the woman died.
