A family of five is hospitalized after their home was torched in a suspected revenge attack for the killing of an Israeli soldier, according to Israeli military officials.

The fire broke out on Thursday morning, in the Palestinian city of Sinjil. The vandals also spray painted graffiti reading "Regards from Eden revenge" on the door of the house. The five were taken to a hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation. The home suffered heavy damage.

The Israeli military has launched an investigation into the incident.

"The Israeli army will hunt down those hindering the fight against terrorism and destabilize the region," an Israel Defense Forces spokesperson said.

As we reported earlier, a young Israel soldier is dead after being stabbed multiple times by a Palestinian Authority child terrorist, according to a statement released by the Israel Defense Forces.

Israeli military officials said that the soldier died of his injuries on Wednesday morning, after being stabbed by a Palestinian terrorist in the northern city of Afula.

The attack took place on a bus in the central bus station of the city, and the soldier was transported to Haemek hospital for treatment in critical condition where he later died. He suffered from stab wounds all over his body.

The victim has been identified as 19-year-old private Eden Attias of Nazareth Illit. He joined the military just two weeks ago.

Police arrested the suspect at the scene. Citizens, who witnessed the attack, detained the suspect until police arrived. The knife used in the attack was found at the scene.

The attacker, a 16-year-old from the West Bank city of Jenin, illegally resided in Israel. He told police that he carried out the attack because his relatives are imprisoned in Israel.

Officials said that the suspect’s brothers have known ties to terrorist organizations, and they are trying to figure out how the child crossed the border.

The suspect was also hospitalized after suffering injuries when police attempted to arrest him.

A witness said that the victim was sleeping when he was attacked.
