A woman was left naked along with needles all over her body when a doctor just forgot about her during an acupuncture treatment.
Now, the woman has been promised free acupuncture treatment for life after her doctor left her alone overnight.
Vivi Ziegler, 61, was being treated in Wiener Neustadt, Austria by her doctor when the doctor was distracted by a phone call and then left the building.
Despite being left in the dark, undressed, and with pins on her back, Ziegler said she would not file a lawsuit against the doctor after the incident.
"I was not worried, as the experience was warm, relaxing and I fell asleep, but when I woke up it was dark and cold, and I was half naked," she said.
Ziegler was able to call the police on her mobile phone, who then rescued her through a window.
"I guess everyone can have a moment of forgetfulness, though I must admit I was a little surprised at the time," she added.
“I feel bad for the woman. If this happened to me, I would panic. I can’t imagine waking up in the middle of the night, in a cold dark place. I would never go back to that facility, ever again,” Betty Cox, 43, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the ordeal.
The doctor apologized for the incident, and Ziegler was offered free acupuncture treatment for life.
