A woman was arrested and charged with cocaine possession and misusing the police telephone system after calling police to help her cancel a $50 cocaine purchase, according to a statement made by Florida police.

The St. Petersburg woman is being held on bail after being arrested for giving her last $50 to a drug dealer and then thinking twice about her purchase, officials said.

Katrina Tisdale, 47, called police to tell the officers that she wanted the money which she spent on cocaine, St. Petersburg police officials said.

"Looks like she came up a bit short after spending the $50 and needed the money to purchase something else," Michael Puetz a public information officer with the St. Petersburg Police said.

Puetz said that Tisdale receives her income from Social Security benefits for disability.
She was charged with misusing the police telephone system, and a police report said that her possession of cocaine was an aggravating factor in her arrest.

Tisdale was arrested in a similar incident several years ago, after she lost $40 during a drug transaction, Puetz said. She told officers that she will report a false rape if they do not get her money back from the drug dealer, so she was charged with filing a false report to the police, he said.

“Seems like the woman was still high on her cocaine when she called police. Hopefully, this time, a judge will send her to a drug rehab center instead of releasing her on the street again,” Carol Sanchez, 32, of Jacksonville, Florida told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the charges.

Tisdale’s bond was set at $100.
