An elderly couple is facing charges after they took revenge of their neighbor by playing loud music.
The elderly couple claimed that they were tired of the noise coming from their neighbor’s house, so they decided to fight back.
The 71-year-old wife and her 81-year-old husband, are facing harassment charges after they played heavy metal music by the ‘Iron Maiden’ group late at night to annoy their neighbor. The dispute between the neighbors continued throughout the winter.
“It is never right to make noise to awaken neighbors. Everyone has a right to expect peace and quiet in their own home and neighborhood. People have to learn to communicate or both neighbors will not have the peace they deserve,” Wanda Johansson, 51, of Gothenburg, Sweden told YourJewishNews.com after hearing about the disturbance caused by the elerly couple.
Police arrested the couple after they found the couple’s boombox on their balcony and the heavy metal group Iron Maiden’s music playing loudly.
The elderly woman reportedly told police that the neighbor was constantly making noise, and she was not able to sleep. She was forced to take sleeping pills in order to overcome the noise. "We wanted to give them a taste of their own medicine," the husband said.
