A Russian newspaper has accused Israel of injecting Palestinian prisoners with deadly viruses, according to press reports in Israel.

The claim was made by the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper after a Palestinian released from an Israeli prison made the accusation without providing evidence.

Pravda and Iran’s Press TV reported the accusation as fact, indicating that Palestinian prisoners suffer from serious and chronic diseases such as bladder cancer and liver disorders as a result of Israeli torture.

The paper reported that Israel injected prisoners with dangerous viruses before releasing them, an accusation that no one has been able to prove so far. The paper also added that "prisoners are subjected to the most cruel torture practices."
Even the minister for Palestinian prisoners said that the accusations were not proven, and as far as he is concerned, it is a lie.

“It is despicable when journalists use their public platform to fan the flame of racism and hate. The governments should do more to stop these rogue journalists, although, there is not much one can expect from Iran,” Sergio Galvan, 47, of Moscow, Russia told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the accusations.

"This is a repulsive and racist lie, based solely on the sick imagination of its authors," Yigal Palmor, a spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, said.
