An Israeli boy was arrested and charged with rape related charges after he raped his little sister at home when his parents were absent, according to court proceedings in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The 15-year-old is suspected of raping his 13-year-old sister in their apartment in central Israel. The abuse was discovered after the girl complained to professionals at school and they contacted the police. The boy was brought before a judge in Tel Aviv for a bail hearing this week, where he denied the allegations.
Police said that the two siblings slept in separate schools during the week and they would meet sometimes on weekends.
When the girl complained about the incidents to the professional staff at school, they immediately notified police who opened an investigation.
Recently, during the investigation by the Ministry of Social Affairs, it was confirmed that the girl was indeed raped and it was not consensual. However, the boy denies all the allegations.
The investigation also revealed that this was a one-time incident and they do not believe that the girl was repeatedly raped.
“This is a terrible ugly incident. Schools need to teach boys and girls about consent and what is normal sexual behavior. Some sexual abuse cases are a result of children having no knowledge about the subject of sexual relationships,” Zelda Ludwig, 48, of Rishon Lezion, Israel told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the charges.
A judge jailed the boy pending the completion of the police investigation.
