(Scroll down for video) Top Israeli police officials left Israel and arrived in the United States in order to meet FBI officials to discuss the latest terror attack in Boston, Massachusetts, according to press reports in Israel.

Israel Police Chief Yochanan Danino and other senior police officers left Israel on Tuesday night, and headed to Boston to meet with officials from the FBI and other law enforcement officials in the United States.

Discussions will focus on the Boston Marathon bombings and the deepening of professional cooperation between law enforcement in both countries.

The meeting comes after the top doctor of Boston Hospital credited Israeli professionals for setting up the hospital to be able to deal with terror attacks.

“Israel and the U.S. face the same enemy and suffer from similar type of terror attacks, so it only makes sense for both countries to cooperate in the war on terror,” Ralph Pike, 40, of Boston, Massachusetts told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the visit.

As we reported earlier, the top doctor at the Boston Hospital where many injured were treated credited an Israeli team who set up the hospital to be able to treat victims of terror attacks, according to video uploaded to the internet.

The doctor said that the Israeli team taught his team how to respond to such disastrous attacks.

"About two years ago, in fact, we asked the Israelis to come down here and they helped us create our disaster team so we can respond to these type of attacks," Alastair Conn, director of Emergency Services at the Massachusetts General Hospital, in response to a question about the readiness of its staff to handle the trauma of this magnitude.

In a response to a question from a reporter the doctor said: "Oh, absolutely, absolutely this is like a bomb explosion we hear in the news in Iraq or Israel or some other tragic place in the world," he said.

“After listening to this doctor I think other hospitals in the United States should invite that Israeli team in order to better prepare their hospital in the event of a terror attack,” Dennis Goldstein, 30, of Boston, Massachusetts told YourJewishNews.com after listening to the doctor’s statements.Mobile video not loading?
