A soldier was arrested after he was caught trading entry permits with Palestinians for drugs, according to police reports in Israel.
The Israeli army, in cooperation with the police and the Israeli Civil Administration arrested a soldier on Tuesday, after he was accused of giving Palestinians, who were prevented from entering Israel, entry permits in exchange for drugs and cash.
The soldier was arrested after an undercover investigation.
A Qalqilya man was also arrested after being accused of being the negotiator of the deals between the soldier and the Palestinians. Police said that more arrests are expected.
The soldier and the resident of Qalqilya, faced a military court for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
The Judea and Samaria Police Department said that the soldier seriously compromised the security of the State.
