A man called police (911), threatened to go on a killing spree and kill himself, if he does not receive smokes, alcohol and snacks, according to police reports in Canada.
Saskatchewan Police said they arrested a drunken man, who threatened gun violence when a 911 dispatcher ignored his demands for snacks and spirits.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said that the 41-year-old man from North Battleford, whose name was not released, called them around 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, and told the police dispatcher that he wanted a pop and some cigarettes.
The man called 911 a second time when his request was not met, and said he wanted officers to bring him more vodka.
When the man was told that police would not do as he asked, he told the dispatcher he had a gun and would hurt himself or others, the investigators said.
Police went to the man's house, and the man initially refused commands to come out, but later, he fell asleep.
The man, who police said had a "high level of intoxication," was arrested, and police seized a .22 caliber rifle and ammunition from the house.
The suspect was charged with careless use of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
