A woman ordered a cheeseburger at Wendy’s and received a partially smoked marijuana joint along with it.
Shalon Travis, 39, ordered the burger at a Wendy’s fast food chain drive-thru in Lovejoy, Georgia, at about 10:30 p.m.
Police said that Travis went home with the food without realizing what was inside until she took a bite out of the burger. That is when she noticed a strange smell emanating from it.
When the woman removed the top of her burger bun she found a partially smoked joint.
The customer contacted police, and officers went to Wendy’s to investigate.
Officers arrested Amy Seiber, 32, who allegedly admitted to smoking at work.
Seiber is said to have admitted the marijuana joint was hers and that she had misplaced it, according to the police report.
Seiber, who dropped a partially smoked joint in the customers cheeseburger, has been fired and charged with possession of marijuana.
She has been charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Wendy’s reportedly gave the customer a gift certificate of $50 at their stores, however, after her last experience, it is unclear whether she will use it.
