Police were shocked to discover a .22 caliber weapon in the possession of a 10-year-old boy, according to police reports in Israel.
Beit She'an police, who were searching a local house, were shocked to find the handgun in the boy’s possession, and they were even more shocked by the child’s explanation.
The child told police investigators that the weapon was given to him by an underage relative, who lives in the northern region of the country.
Police came to the house after receiving a tip about the weapon. The weapon was confiscated from the child, and the child was questioned in the presence of his parents.
Beit She'an police launched an investigation into the incident. The child’s relative, who allegedly provided the boy with the dangerous gift, was summoned for questioning also in the presence of his parents.
