(Scroll down for video) Two on duty police officers were arrested and charged with murder after they allegedly killed a homeless man, according to court proceedings in California.
The two Fullerton police officers are headed to trial more than two years after the violent confrontation.
Manuel Ramos will go on trial on Monday, on charges of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in the death of 37-year-old Kelly Thomas, who died after an encounter with six police officers.
Jay Cicinelli will also stand trial on charges of involuntary manslaughter and excessive use of force.
Both have pleaded not guilty.
The case marks the first time in the history of Orange County that a police officer has been charged with murder for actions committed on duty. The confrontation between the homeless man and police was captured on video surveillance.
