A teen is dead and another was left injured after a shooting in the Israeli city of Nazareth, according to police reports.
Nazareth Police said that a 19-year-old man, was killed and another teen was moderately injured after a shootout erupted in the city on Friday night.
Police arrested two men, an 18 and a 21-year-old for their alleged involvement in the shooting.
The two victims, who are members of the same family, were riding a motorcycle in the eastern section of the city when the unidentified gunmen opened fire on them.
The 19-year-old Abad al Razek Ibrahim Abad was shot in the upper torso and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. He was pronounced dead later in the day. The second victim, a 24-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the lower torso and was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.
Police closed off the crime scene and opened an investigation into the incident. Authorities are investigating the possibility that a fight broke out before the shooting between the victims and the suspects.
The two suspects were brought to the Nazareth Magistrate’s Court on Saturday, and they were remanded into custody.
Neighbors said that the victims are good people, and never fight with others.
