A girl was hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound to her arm, which she sustained when an armed robber attacked her early on Sunday morning, according to police reports in New York.
Brooklyn Police said that a 17-year-old girl was shot in the arm during an attempted robbery in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, New York.
The teen was approached by a man dressed in black on Remsen Avenue and Flatlands Avenue around 6:00 a.m., who demanded her property at gunpoint.
The suspect then fired his gun hitting the girl in the arm while fleeing from the scene, police said.
The man fled in an unknown direction without any property taken. The girl was transported by ambulance to Kings County Hospital.
The shooting was under investigation.
