(Scroll down for video) A police officer was arrested and charged with murder after he allegedly killed a man to eat his body, according to police reports in Germany.
Dresden police said that they have arrested a police officer, 55, after the body of another man was found in the Erz Mountains in eastern Germany.
Investigators believe the two men met through an Internet site for cannibals.
The suspect denied eating body parts and said he killed the man because he requested it.
The dead man lived in Hanover, and had been reported missing by his business partner.
Police said the victim was murdered and dismembered, and parts of his body were buried in a piece of land in the mountainous region that belonged to the murderer.
The suspect, identified as Detlef G, works for the Saxony State Office of Criminal Investigation in the department of forensics.
Police said that some body parts of the victim is missing, and it is possible that cannibalism may have occurred.
“The victim had fantasized about being killed and eaten since he was a child,” a police spokesperson said.
The two men met at the main train station in Dresden, on November 4, police and prosecutors said, and shortly after their meeting, the 59-year-old businessman was killed with a knife.
The police officer gave a partial confession, and led investigators to the body parts.
