(Scroll down for video) Police in Italy said that a mafia boss was eaten alive by a group of pigs.
The Italian mobster was alive when his body was fed to pigs by members of a rival mafia group, police discovered during a recent investigation.
Francesco Raccosta, a member of the Ndrangheta mafia family in the region of Calabria in southern Italy, disappeared from his home last year. His body was never found.
However, the details of his horrible death emerged this week with the arrest of Simon Pepe, 24, a member of a rival crime family called Mazzagatti. The two families have fought with each other for decades.
Police said they had intercepted their phones and overheard Pepe describing the murder.
"It was satisfying to hear him scream. Mamma mia, how he screamed," Pepe said during one phone conversation.
"Somebody said that a few bots of his body remained at the end of all this, but I could not see anything. Wow, how a pig can eat!" Pepe also said.
Officials said that the murder was a revenge killing.
The mobster was beaten with iron rods and thrown into a pig sty shortly after the assassination of the head of the rival crime family.
