(Scroll down for video) Four men were arrested and will be charged with assault after they allegedly stoned a little Jewish girl, according to police reports in Israel.
Jerusalem Police and Border Guard officers arrested four Israeli Arabs, all aged between 15 and 20, after they were accused of throwing stones on Jewish girl on Thursday, that left the two-year-old Abigail Ben Zion moderately injured.
After the stoning incident, the group fled from the scene, but they were arrested when they returned to their homes.
Police said that the incident was probably motivated by hate.
The child, Abigail, was hit with a stone that was thrown in the direction of the family’s car as her mother, Shirin Ben Zion, was driving in Jerusalem.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene, transported the baby to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital for further treatment.
“When we got to the scene we saw the child bleeding from her head. A big stone hit her in the head while traveling in the car. I immediately provided primary care, and she began to regain her consciousness,” a paramedic at the scene said.
The four men will be brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a bail hearing.
