A man caused a stir on social media after he hanged a mouse that destroyed his money.
The Palestinian man has retaliated against the mouse for chewing through some of his shekels. The man uploaded a photo to Facebook showing the poor mouse tied by its hands and feet.
The man, who lives in Gaza, is originally from the West Bank city of Hebron. He took rope, spread the mouse’s hand and feet and tied each to a pole, as revenge against it.
The man also uploaded a photo of the money that the mouse ate after it sneaked in the cupboard where he kept his money. The mouse managed to chew through three 200 Israeli shekels banknotes (which is worth about £105 or $170) of the man's wages.
The man said he had just received his weekly wage and he hid it in the closet where it would be safe. Instead of losing his money to a robber he lost it to the mouse.
The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) has finally paid its employees after delaying the payment of salaries for their public employees for several months due to a money shortage.
