(Scroll down for video) A man was concerned when he saw another customer carrying a gun in a bank, so he alerted the bank teller.

But when police arrived they did not arrest the man who had the gun, but rather the man who ratted him out.

Robert Gursky, 50, of Connecticut, thought he was doing the right thing by telling staff at a Glastonbury, TD Bank, that a man was carrying a gun in the bank.

Gursky whispered to the bank teller "gun" while making motions that a man in line had a gun. The teller and other bank staff became confused as to what he was trying to tell them and activated the bank's robbery alarm.

After police arrived at the scene, they found that the man who had the gun was in law enforcement, he had the gun legally and that their was no misconduct.

Gursky was interviewed by police and then arrested on a breach of the peace charge.
People in Connecticut can legally carry a weapon without concealing it.

"We are not a concealed carry state, but you can't carry in a manner that causes alarm to the public, so it is a fine line finding balance. That is why many people choose to carry concealed," Glastonbury Police spokesperson Kevin Szydlo said.

Police also said that if you find yourself in a situation where you see a man with a gun tucked into his shirt, do not confront him. Walk out of the bank and call 911 so officers can handle the situation without causing alarm.
