| Israeli soldier dancing with Palestinians |
(Scroll down for video) A video emerged showing several Israeli soldiers dancing with Palestinians inside a nightclub, a spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces said.
The IDF said that it has punished a group of soldiers, who were caught partying with Palestinians while armed and in uniform, at a nightclub in the city of Hebron, which is located in the Palestinian controlled West Bank.
A video emerged in which two soldiers with helmets, and at least one armed with a rifle, were seen dancing with Palestinian young men in jeans and t-shirts, to a popular rock song.
A Palestinian could be seen dancing around with a soldier in uniform hoisted on his shoulders, gun in hand, as the other men danced around them.
The military said that an investigation has revealed the troops had sneaked into the club, while on foot patrol in the predominantly Palestinian city.
A military spokesperson said in a statement that the army "sees this as a serious incident."
"The soldiers were exposed to unnecessary danger and were punished," the spokesperson said.
Military rules forbid troops of letting down their guard and socializing with enemy civilians while on duty.
