(Scroll down for video) A Jewish boy of Hertfordshire, England, is suffering from bullying after being born without ears, according to a report by jn1 TV.
However, the child is defying all the odds and is succeeding. Kieran Sorkin has suffered years of harassment and questions, but soon, he will no longer face any problems.
Kieran was born deaf and without ears, only small lobes are visible where his ears should be. He is suffering from a rare disease that affects only one in 12,000 children. Now, the eight-year-old is looking forward to the day when people will stop asking him questions.
"They keep asking me questions about my ears and hearing aids," Kieran Sorkin said
"He just wants everyone to accept him the way he was born. He is an easy-going boy, he is just eight-years-old, and he just wants to join in all school activities. He gets teased by children who ask him why his ears are different. He is not different, he is a bright kid, bright as any other child, he was just born without ears," the child’s mother Louise Sorkin said.
When Kieran was born, both his ear canals were almost completely blocked and he was deaf, the cause, a rare condition called bilateral microtia.
Now, doctors are ready to implant a new set of “ears” into his head.
