(Scroll down for video) Doing a public marriage proposal means taking a risk of being rejected and embarrassed in front of many people.
Men are always looking for a sweet way to propose to their lover. Many choose to propose in the same spot where they first met.
This was the case with one Indian man. He wanted the proposal to be special and grand, so he chose to propose publicly at the mall in Dubai, where they first fell in love. Unfortunately for him, things ended badly.
In the video below, the man can be seen walking in a mall, with his girlfriend at his side. He walked towards three musicians, who were there as part of his marriage proposal plan. He then grabbed a microphone, which was connected to a speaker so all shoppers can hear and be part of the special event.
As the musicians started playing, the man said: “I have a very special message for a very special girl. This is where we met three months ago. This is where I fell in love with you.”
A crowd of onlookers gathered to watch the well planned out marriage proposal.
He continued by telling his girlfriend: “You are my charm, you are my sweety pie, you are my cutie pie, my absolute everything. I know you find this cheesy, but I want everyone to know, you make me really happy.”
The man had a sweet little poem written for the woman he thought would be his future wife. “When you smile, the whole world stops and stares for awhile, and my heart ceases to beat and there is nothing else I seek, except you.”
Then he said I just have one question for you. As he was getting down on one knee the girl grabbed him and tried to stop him from proposing. But he kept going. “You truly make me that happiest person on earth,” he said.
However, in a fit of rage, the woman grabbed a ukulele from one of the band members and proceeded to hit her lover over the head, knocking him to the ground. She then threw the instrument onto the ground and stormed off.
