An Australian company was mocked after it decided to censure the reproductive organ on a photo of a kangaroo, according to images uploaded to the internet.

Using humorous censorship the Australian company has been met with bewilderment on Facebook.

Tourism Australia published the photograph of a kangaroo, named Big Baz, on their official Facebook page, chilling on some grass.
However, several users complained after Baz's genitals were pixellated as a joke.
"Censorship of the reproductive organs of an animal is one of the dumbest things I've seen in my life," an annoyed reader said.

Another wrote: "Why are you censoring a kangaroo. My God, that's crazy. I have a lot of pictures of my dog on Facebook and none of them are censored, it just seems silly and something weird about that. It looks like you're trying to turn it into a centerfold instead of it being a normal picture of kangaroo behavior.”

A spokesperson for Tourism Australia later stated that the picture was intended to be a gag.
"Anyone familiar with our Facebook page knows that we are having fun," the spokesperson said.
