(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with theft related charges after stealing a car from another man, who had stopped to help him on the side of the road, according to police reports in Minnesota.

St. Louis County Police said that a man was arrested in northern Minnesota, on Saturday night after crashing his car, and then, allegedly stealing a vehicle from a Good Samaritan, who tried to help him.

Authorities responded to a rollover crash of a vehicle at about 10:34 pm on Saturday in the 4400 block of Martin Road. A caller told police that the vehicle is possibly on fire. When authorities arrived at the scene, they learned that several Good Samaritans stopped to help the victim of the accident, but saw the man abandon his car and fleeing into the woods.

A short time later, the man returned, stole one of the cars belonging to the Good Samaritan and fled from the scene. A Deputy Sheriff stopped the car and took the man into custody without incident. He was identified as 24-year-old Jacob Allan Mellinger of Duluth.

Mellinger was taken to a hospital for treatment for minor injuries, then he was taken to the county jail in St. Louis. The incident is still under investigation.
