Mr. Lube employee's marijuana tweet |
(Scroll down for video) A man is out of a job after he posted a tweet on Twitter seeking marijuana.
The man, was a young aspiring mechanic in Toronto, Canada. He hit a speed bump in his career after he posted the ridiculous request on Twitter.
The man posted the request under the screen name Sunith Baheerathan, while he was at work. In the tweet, he asked for anyone who can sell him marijuana, to come to his store. He posted his address on twitter as well.
York Regional Police noticed the message, which has since been removed, and replied: "Awesome! Can we come too?"
The police response brought out sarcastic laughs and retweet. The tweet was retweeted more than 3,000 times.
Police also sent the tweet to the man’s employer, Mr. Lube.
On Tuesday afternoon, Mr. Lube wrote on Twitter: "Thanks to the York Regional Police for their help and a great job. The matter has been handled."
The young man’s Twitter account was changed from public to private, so only confirmed followers can now see his tweets.
