Two ultra-Orthodox Jewish teen girls were arrested and could be charged with theft related charges after they were caught breaking into a home, according to police reports in Israel.
Jerusalem Police said that residents of a building located on Katzenellenbogen Street in the Har Nof neighborhood in Jerusalem called police after they woke up early in the morning to the sound of a break in. When police officers arrived at the scene they caught two teen girls red-handed trying to break into a storage unit on the ground floor of the building.
Police officers of the Moriah station caught the girls while they were on routine patrol in the neighborhood. One of the officers said that earlier he saw a 19-year-old woman, who suspiciously observed the building.
When police entered the building, they saw a 15-year-old girl with a crowbar trying to break into the storage unit. The two girls were taken to the police station for questioning.
Police said that the 15-year-old tried to steal a golf cart while the 19-year-old served as her lookout. Both girls live in the neighborhood.
