(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested, charged, and convicted of murder related charges after he was implicated in the crime by sporting a tattoo of the murder scene on his chest, according to court proceedings in California.

Los Angeles Police said that a member of the California gang was convicted Wednesday of first-degree murder. A chest tattoo depicting the crime scene led to his arrest. 25-year-old Anthony Garcia could face life imprisonment for his involvement in the 2004 shooting of a Pico Rivera liquor store.

Garcia eluded police until 2008. He was originally arrested for driving with a suspended license. Suspecting that he was an active member of the gang Rivera 13, the police documented his tattoos.

While looking for clues on a completely different crime, Detective Sergeant Kevin Lloyd looked at Garcia's image when something struck him. The officer looked up the case of the liquor store shooting.

Lloyd was very impressed by the detailed precision of the tattoo, as it matched the crime scene.
Police and experts on gang tattoos in Los Angeles, said they cannot recall another instance of tattoos as a literal representation of a crime.
