(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with murder related charges after his son, 3, was found murdered, according to police reports in Montana.
Lacey Police said that the body of a 3-year-old boy was located in southwestern Montana and his father has been arrested after an employee of a convenience store saw him washing blood from his clothing.
Jeremy Brent Cramer, 38, of Lacey was charged Tuesday with murder and ordered held on $250,000 bail during his first court appearance in Montana.
Cramer, who is the child's father, was arrested Monday night after an officer reported that a man in a convenience store, saw him in the bathroom trying to wash the blood from his body and clothing.
A statement from the Montana Department of Justice said that the man was involved a custody dispute.
A family friend said that Cramer asked his wife Natalie if she wanted to go for a walk this morning, and she refused. So he took the child.
"He took his son with him all the time on trips and was seen with him a lot," neighbor Ed West said.
However, the mother called police in Tacoma after her husband was not answering cell phone calls and text messages. She also said that her fuel card was used in Moses Lake earlier in the day.
However, the mother told police she did not think the boy was in danger, so no Amber Alert was issued.
Montana police arrested Cramer Monday night after being contacted by the employee of the convenience store.
Cramer’s vehicle was found 5 miles southeast of Anaconda at dawn Tuesday morning. The child's body was found nearby.
