(Scroll down for video) A television reported has caused controversy after he delivered his report while sitting on the shoulders of another man.
The journalist in India found a way to cover the devastating floods without getting his feet wet.
So far, the floods has claimed the lives of more than 1,000 people. Many others are still missing, while other lost their homes and all their belongings.
Recently, Narayan Pargaien, a report for News Express, reported on the destruction of the flood in the northern state of Uttarakhand, India.
He was dressed in his nice suit and was seen sitting on the shoulders of a local man, who has lost everything in the flood.
The video has caused outrage on the Internet, with bloggers and social networkers alike labeling the reporter as "inhuman" and "shameful."
People have pointed out that through the entire segment, while Pargaien was sitting on the shoulders of the survivor, the man was clearly struggling to maintain his balance to support the weight of the reporter.
The journalist defended himself saying that the villager had allowed him to sit on his shoulders as a sign of appreciation after he gave the man money to help him out in his time of need.
He also said that the villager appreciated that he came out to his village so people can see what he is going through.
"When I crossed the river he offered to carry me, but the cameraman was supposed to record only from my chest up,” Pargaien said.
The television station also thought it was inappropriate and decided not to air the segment , but somehow the video was leaked and uploaded to the internet. The reporter has since been fired.
