The birthday dance signifies the transition from childhood to young womanhood.
The birthday is usually celebrated by a big party for friends and family. Most of the time, the girl wears a beautiful dress or gown.
Many people do their major birthday party at their “sweet 16”. However, in parts of Latin America and other Latin American communities around the world, the celebration is held on the girl's fifteenth birthday and the celebration is called “Quinceanera”.
In the video below Bianca Rodriguez is doing her first dance with her father at her Quinceanera which took place in Houston, Texas.
The father daughter duo wowed the crowed as they did some nice dances together among them Gangnam Style and the Harlem Shake dance.
