Ethan Wilson, and Rocky Hurt |
(Scroll down for video) Two young boys saved a baby’s life by coaching a mother on how to perform CPR on her baby.
Who knew that children actually read the CPR posters on the walls of the school.
Well, 10-year-old Ethan Wilson, and 9-year-old Rocky Hurt, did just that. They learned how to do CPR which came in handy when 12-week-old Isaiah Rohm was found not breathing.
Susanna Rohm was playing with her 12-week-old son, when he suddenly stopped breathing. The mother started screaming for help.
The two boys were playing football in the street when they heard screaming for help so they rushed to help in any way possible.
When they arrived, Rohm was trying to do CPR on her baby. When the boys saw the mother doing it wrong they stepped in and
gave Rohm clear instructions for proper CPR techniques.
"I told her to push on the baby’s chest 5 to 10 times with only two fingers, tilt back the baby’s head, plug the baby’s nose and breathe into the baby’s mouth," Hurt said..
Within minutes, Isaiah was breathing and crying. He was taken to hospital for an examination and has been diagnosed with sleep apnea. The baby spent two nights in the hospital and will continue to be monitored.
The boys who live in a small Georgia town are heroes after teaching the mother to use CPR to save the life of her baby.
