(Scroll down for video) A van was seen on video slamming into a family, who were dining in a restaurant in Melbourne, Australia, according to video uploaded to the internet.

The incident, which was caught on video surveillance cameras, showed a family being hit by an alleged drunk driver, who was more than three times over the legal blood alcohol content limit.

Brendan and Tina Paul, along with her sister and her children, were enjoying their meal, when the 57-year-old driver of Glenroy, slammed his bread truck into the Fresh Chilli Thai Restaurant in Laverton yesterday shortly after 10:00 pm.

Instead of hitting the brakes, the driver continued to accelerate before coming to a stop.
The sister of Brendan Paul was hit and was feared dead immediately after the family of seven were pushed back into the restaurant by the out of control truck.

Tina Paul said she was just screaming as the truck slammed into the restaurant.
She said she feared the worst when they could not immediately find her sister.
"A lot of screaming and uncertainty. I thought she was dead under the truck," she said.

She also had words for the suspected drunken driver who blew a reading of 0.179 blood alcohol content.
"I am a mother of two children and the driver almost took that away," she said.
The couple's son, 7, was hit in the chin.

Three family members were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Debris flew while diners and staff ran for cover.

Police said the driver was traveling west on Aviation Road when he lost control of the van and flew across the road before reaching a concrete gate.

The car jumped into the restaurant window.
He was arrested and questioned by police.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
