Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the leader of the Sephardic Jews in Israel and the world, will now have some difficult explaining to do.
His son, Rabbi David Yosef, used a racial slur against blacks to attack the government for not giving enough money to religious institutions.
"When allocating money to the sports budget, there is a lot of money to bring n*****s to play basketball, but when talking about giving money for synagogues or ritual baths, suddenly, there isn't any money," Rabbi David Yosef said in public this week.
Yosef was speaking at a ceremony marking the opening of a new ritual bath in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem.
Rabbi David Yosef is officially the leader of the mostly ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhood of Har Nof in Jerusalem.
During the ceremony, Yosef also complained that ultra-Orthodox Jews are considered class D citizens in the current government.
“What kind of rabbi uses such language against other people? He must have heard the same language of his so called great father. I think David Yosef should face some kind of punishment for publicly using the n****r slur,” Akiva Palmov, 32, of Jerusalem, Israel told YourJewishNews.com after hearing about Yosef’s nasty slur against blacks.
"The yeshiva world is entering a very difficult period," David Yosef also told the crowd.
