(Scroll down for video) Russian’s are known for thinking outside the box, and for their interesting antics, now they have done it again.

As boats were unable to cross the river due to bad weather conditions, several Russians, in a desperate attempt to get to work despite the difficult weather, came up with an interesting way to cross the raging river.

Heavy rains, high waters, and bad road conditions were causing problems for people trying to travel around in the area near the coal-mining town of Vorkuta in Russia. Luckily, someone had a bright idea and organized a couple of excavators to transport the people across the river.

They placed one excavator on each bank of the Nyarmayaha River. Several men with their luggage climbed into the first excavator bucket. The operator then maneuvered the excavator bucket to where the the second excavator was waiting with its extended bucket, to receive its “passengers.”

In middle of the raging water, with no protection below, the men transferred their luggage and then climbed into the waiting excavator which “drove” them to the other side.

“I watched the video a couple of times, and it made me laugh. I love the Russians, as they always come up with creative and many times funny solutions to their problems,” Jack Miller, 32, of Golders Green, London told YourJewishNews.com after watching the video of the Russian’s using excavators as a means of transportation after being stranded.

By looking at the line of people waiting to get to the other side, (at :04 in the video below) this method of transportation must have taken a while, but at least they got to where they want to get to.
