(Scroll down for video) Grocery store workers are being criticized after they caused a man to be stuck in his car for 4 days.
A 90-year-old man from Florida is lucky to be alive after he spent four days trapped in his car in his garage.
Jay Ambrozia, went to get some stuff from a grocery store in his neighborhood. While shopping at the store, Ambrozia tripped and fell to the ground. Instead of calling an ambulance, store employees helped him get up and walked him to his car. They then helped him get into the car and Ambrozia drove home.
Unknown to him, when he fell, Ambrozia broke his arm and his hip. Ambrozia somehow managed to drive himself the short distance back home and even into his garage. After he parked his car he realized that he cannot get out. Ambrozia said he blew his horn and shouted, but no one heard his cries for help.
After being stuck in his car for four days, his neighbors who came to check on him, found him slumped in the front seat.
“The store workers were very wrong, they should have called an ambulance right away. One should never take chances with elderly people because their bones are weak and break easily. The workers could have caused more damage to Ambrozia’s hips by walking him to his car,” Shirley Taylor, 47, of Boca Raton, Florida told YourJewishNews.com after hearing about the unfortunate incident.
The neighbors called police. When an ambulance arrived and put him on the stretcher he was in a lot of pain, according to his neighbors.
