An Arizona woman is in trouble after she hit and killed a man, and then fled of the scene.
Kristen Suggs, 25, of Phoenix, Arizona was jailed Sunday after she allegedly ran down a pedestrian, then called police to report that a suspicious person damaged her car.
According to Phoenix police, a 51-year-old Hispanic had been walking down the sidewalk when Suggs hit him with her vehicle and then fled the scene. Emergency workers were called to the location where the man was found lying on the floor. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
About the same time, Suggs called police to report that an "unknown suspect" threw an object at her car and damaged it. When Maricopa county sheriffs arrived to Suggs’ house to take her report, they inspected the vehicle and found that the damage was consistent with a vehicles / pedestrians collision. Suggs was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
“Good for her, she called police on herself. Thankfully, she was caught for the crime she did. I hope she goes to jail over killing an innocent man. She recklessly killed a man and then tried to blame the victim for damaging her car,“ Jason Harris, 23, of Maricopa County, Arizona told YourJewishNews.com after Suggs was arrested for the alleged hit and run.
Officers believe Suggs may have been intoxicated at the time of accident.
