(Scroll down for video) A family was left devastated after a horrific accident killed two young children.
A 22-year-old mother was exhausted after taking care of her two young boys. The mother put her two children in the shower and she fell asleep. When she woke up, she found her floor flooded and her boys dead.
Miranda Hebble, who was 22-years-old at the time of the incident, was caring for her children alone in Perth, Australia while the boys' father, Christopher Stevens, then 23, was working away from home at a mine.
The exhausted mother, who was up with her baby a lot at night, fell asleep and woke up about 10 hours later, to find water overflowing, and the two boys dead.
The boys were identified as Lochlan James Stevens, 2-years-old, and Malachi Isaac Stevens, 10-months-old.
Kate Ellsona, a counsel assisting the inquest, said Hebble had no history of mental illness, drug, or alcohol abuse.
Officer William Herbert Daniel O'Rourke stated that several months ago, he was called to an incident in which Malachi had been left in a car while Hebble returned a DVD to a store.
The baby, then five-weeks-old, was hot, crying, sweating and red-faced when he was taken out of the car, O'Rourke said. The couple has reportedly separated.
