(Scroll down for video) Police are investigating a New York Jewish doctor after the death of his wife, several months ago inside his home.
However, the four children of Doctor Robert Neulander, whose house was searched in Syracuse earlier this week, said in a statement that they support their father unconditionally.
Leslie Neulander, 61, of DeWitt, was found dead in the home of Neulander at 6916 Shalimar Way, DeWitt, in the early hours of the morning.
DeWitt police and investigators from the Prosecutor's Office of Onondaga County, searched that house Thursday and the doctor's current residence, an apartment at 203 E. Water St., in Syracuse Wednesday. Police refused to say what they were looking for, or provide any other information about the investigation.

Here is the statement of Jenna, Ari, Brian and Emily, Neulander's children:
"Following the recent media attention on the death of our mother Leslie Neulander, our family received a lot of publicity and community support. We thank everyone for their continued support as we continue to mourn. We believe it is important that the family support our father. Jenna, Ari, Brian and Emily support our father undoubtedly and unconditionally, including our mother's brother and sister, are standing behind us and our father's tragedy of losing our mom which has been all-consuming and only be redressed through peace and love as we continue to mourn our loss."
“The family is clearly devastated, and until anyone is charged the public should back off and let the family recover from their loss in peace,” Carrie Crisp, 24, of Syracuse, New York told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the recent police raid.
Leslie London Neulander was found dead in a shower in the family’s home in the fall of 2011.
Edward Menkin, Neulander's lawyer, said Leslie Neulander's death was accidental. He said Neulander has not been arrested or charged with any crime.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
