"America's Most Wanted", a show dedicated to tracking down the most sought after criminals, has been canceled.
The television station airing America’s Most Wanted announced that it will not continue after its impressive 25 seasons.
Despite the show being canceled, the television station is looking into trying to create another series of the program, along with director and executive producer John Walsh.
"America's Most Wanted" aired on Fox from 1988 to 2011, when it was canceled by the Fox television network. Soon after, Lifetime, picked up "America's Most Wanted" and it began airing there on December 2, 2011.
“Just like every television show, it comes a time when it reaches the end of the tunnel, no matter how popular and successful it might have been in the past. I will miss the show. I really liked it and I really liked that it also helped take criminals off the street,” Carlos Galvan, 34, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania told YourJewishNews.com after learning of the cancelation.
Since its launch in 1988, "America's Most Wanted" has resulted in 1,202 fugitives being caught worldwide.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
