The woman will be in jail for almost five years for having sex with her 16-year-old son.
The mother has been charged with incest after she was found in a hotel room with her 16-year-old son along with videos of them having sex and nude photos that she send of herself to her son.
Mistie Atkinson, 32, from California, was arrested on charges of incest after being found in a hotel room in Ukiah, California, with her 16-year-old son, who does not live with her. In fact, Atkinson was estranged from her son most of her life. Atkinson reunited with her son after she tracked him down through facebook, according to local press reports.
Atkinson and his son are aware that they are biologically mother and son, according to the police report.
The love between a mother and son is a natural one, this California mother who slept with her son claimed that it was not incest but rather a case of "genetic attraction."
“This woman has some twisted way of expressing her love for her son. I can’t believe she actually told police her view. Maybe the 5 year jail sentence is too little. She should be given lots of therapy while serving her time in prison,” Brenda Haas, 23, of La Jolla, California told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the case.
Atkinson was booked into the Napa County jail on charges of incest, sex with a minor, contract with a minor for a sexual offense and sending harmful material to minors. Atkinson was found guilty of the charges and was sentenced to 4 years and eight months jail.
