| Little child left home alone |
A mother was arrested and charged with child neglect related charges after being caught leaving her 3-month-old baby in the care of her 4-year-old girl, according to court proceedings in Israel.
The mother, from the Israeli city of Petah Tikva, who is suspected of neglecting her two children was released from detention. Earlier, the woman said she went to work and let her four-year-old girl care for her 3-month-old brother.
The child was found Wednesday morning wandering alone on the street while the baby was alone in the apartment. The children are currently in custody welfare services.
“What this woman did was absolutely despicable. She endangered both of her children. This could have ended very badly,” Shoshana Bergland, 54, a child care provider in Bnei Brak, Israel, told YourJewishNews.com.
