Woman attacked in Borough Park Brooklyn New York rain station |
(Scroll down for video) A woman was attacked and robbed at a Borough Park, Brooklyn, New York train station, and it was all caught on surveillance video.
Now, police have urged the public to help track down and arrest the suspect behind the vicious attack, according to press reports in New York.
The victim can be seen leaving a south bound F train at 18th Avenue subway station around 2:40 am, last month. A hooded thug followed her down the stairs, pushed her against a door, grabbed the hood of the victim's coat and shook her until he managed to throw her to the ground.
The thief grabbed the woman's black purse while she tried to get up from the ground, the video showed. The vicious bully kicked the victim in the chest and stepped on her in order to keep her down, then emptied the contents of her bag and rummaged through the spilled contents.
She managed to grab the bag and run while the suspect began chasing her again.
Miraculously the victim only received bumps and bruises, police said.
The suspect is believed to be in his 20s, about 150 pounds and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with black color Italian letters, on the front and in the back.
“This is supposed to be a very safe neighborhood. This area is not too quiet even in the middle of the night. I’m sure someone saw something and will soon come forward,” Howard Lowenstein, 51, of Brooklyn, New York told YourJewishNews.com.
Police have asked the public with any information about the attack to contact crime stoppers.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
