(Scroll down for video) 6-year-old Hunter Yelton has a sexual harassment claim on his school records, and his mother is desperate to have it removed.
Yelton of Canon City, Colorado, had a crush on a girl in his class, and kissed her.
The girl was unfazed by the kiss, but the school was not happy with it.
Now, the first grader has been suspended for what school officials called sexual harassment.
“The girl was fine with it. They are “boyfriend and girlfriend,” the boy’s mother, Jennifer Saunders, said.
Most would agree that it was an innocent kiss between two young children, but school officials did not see it that way, and now the 6-year-old, has sexual harassment on his school records.
Saunders had asked the school to remove the sexual harassment from his school records.
“l will stand up and fight for it because that is not the case. That's not what happened at all,"Saunders said.
So far, the school district refuses to see their tactical discipline as extreme, saying that Yelton’s behavior classifies as sexual harassment according to school policy.
