(Scroll down for video) A family was angry when their daughter was raped by the man who was supposed to marry her.
The 23-year-old woman of Katihar, Bihar, India, was raped by her fiance after her father was unable to pay dowry, which included a motorcycle, police said.
Harish Sriramji Kohle, 30, took his fiancee to his home on the pretext of attending a program, according to the complaint filed by the victim's father.
Once she was at his house, Kohle raped the woman by force.
Earlier, the man sent his father, Shriramji Kohle, to the girl's house to demand dowry of RS 50,000 (about $820) and a motorcycle.
When the girl's father did not have the money to pay the dowry, Harish broke the engagement and refused to marry the woman. Instead, he raped the woman as a form of revenge, the victim's father said.
Wadi Police arrested two people in connection with the incident.
Kohle was booked for rape, and he and his father, Shriramji Kohle, were booked under the Anti-Dowry Act, police said.
