An Israeli man was arrested and charged with murder related charges after he shot and killed his wife while riding in their car in front of their daughter, according to police reports in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Police identified the man as a 50-year-old, allegedly shot and killed his wife in front of their 14-year-old daughter, while driving near the Israeli city of Petah Tikva.
Police arrested the husband, who was traveling with his wife in the car, on suspicion of murder.
"I shot my wife," the husband told emergency services during a phone conversation. “The man had a gun license because he was employed as a security guard at a school in Petah Tikva,” police said.
According to initial reports, an argument broke out between the couple after which the husband pulled out his gun and shot his wife in the head.
Magen David Adom paramedics tried to revive the woman, but was pronounced dead shortly after.
“There are other methods to resolve a disagreement. There is no need to pull out a weapon or engage in other violent behavior,” Matthew Davidson, a licensed psychologist told YourJewishNews.com.
A judge jailed the suspect pending the completion of a police investigation.
