Three men were arrested and will be charged with child rape after paying young girls for sex and giving them drugs, according to police reports in Israel.
The main unit of the Northern Police District launched an investigation after two girls, aged 14 and 16, were exploited by young men living in northern Israel.
An undercover investigation conducted in recent months suggested that the three suspects lured the girls using drugs, alcohol, and had sex with them in exchange for a fee.
The investigation also revealed that the suspects knew that the girls were in financial distress. On Monday, police arrested two young men, both 20-years-old. They were brought before a Magistrate's Court judge for a bail hearing, and they were remanded into custody until next Sunday.
The third suspect was arrested on Thursday, and he was brought the Nazareth Magistrate's Court for a bail hearing. Police are still trying to determine whether the suspects were involved with other girls as well.
