(Scroll down for video) A woman went to police after she learned that her father was preparing to marry her.
The man has been arrested for raping his daughter for almost 11 years and for fathering a child with her, police said.
The accused was identified as Ibrahim Shaikh, 50 of Mumbai, India.
The man was arrested after his daughter, 26, told police that Shaikh is the biological father of her eight-year-old daughter.
Realizing that her father was preparing to marry her, she got the courage and went to the police together with a social worker.
According to Malwani Police, the victim was raped by her father since she was only 15-years-old.
"It was under the pretext of teaching human anatomy, the accused repeatedly raped his daughter,” police said.
When the girl’s mother learned of the abuse, she objected to it, but her husband punished both his wife and daughter every time they tried to stop the sexual abuse.
The father sexually assaulted his daughter at their home in Malad, while threatening to kill her and the wife if they showed resistance.
Shaikh, who works as a shuttle driver between Jaipur and Mumbai, was booked for rape and criminal intimidation amongst other charges.
The court has ordered a DNA test to see if Shaikh is the father of his 8-year-old granddaughter.
