(Scroll down for video) Eleven youngsters were arrested and will be charged with assaulting a police officer, after they allegedly threw stones at police officers after a court sentenced several Arab men to jail for killing a Jewish terrorist, according to police reports in Israel.

Haifa Police said that rioting is continuing in Haifa, and eleven young Arab men were arrested after they were accused of rioting and stone throwing.

The eleven men were brought before a Magistrate's Court judge, and 3 suspects were remanded into custody. The other eight suspects were released on bail.

Police said that one of those arrested is the popular Arab figure Mohammed Kanaan. He is being accused of assaulting a police officer and failing to obey a police officer. The other suspects committed rioting in a public place, illegal gathering and assaulting a police officer.

As we reported earlier, seven men were arrested, charged and convicted of attempted manslaughter after they were accused of a vigilante attack against a Jewish terrorist, according to court proceedings in Israel.

The Haifa District Court on Thursday, sentenced seven Arab-Israeli men to a maximum of two years in prison for the 2005 murder of Jewish terrorist Eden Natan-Zada.

Six men were sentenced to prison terms of between 11 and 24 months and the seventh received a suspended sentence. All men participated in the beating death of an Israeli soldier, who eight years ago opened fire inside a bus, killing four people and wounding 17 others.

Throughout the trial the suspects had maintained their innocence, claiming that they had acted in self defense.

"Vengeance is for God, and punishment is the function of the judicial authorities," the court said.

In total, nine people were arrested for disorderly conduct in the incident.

Police said that Arab Israelis began to riot after the sentencing claiming that the court showed an anti-Arab bias.
