An elderly Jewish woman was beaten and robbed by a group of fraudsters in the heart of the Jewish community in London, England, according to a report in the Jewish Chronicle.
The grandmother was left shaken after being ripped off for three scammers posing as property managers.
The 77-year-old victim was approached by a man wearing a black leather jacket in Golders Green.
The man, 50-years-old and 5 feet 6 inches tall, told the victim that she owed 2,900 pounds for the repair of a broken boiler.
She was whisked into a white vehicle and taken to her house in Belsize Park. The three men waiting outside her apartment building as she walked to a nearby bank and withdrew the money.
However, when she returned from the bank, she went to a neighbor in order to verify that the men were indeed property managers. That is when the men attacked her and forcefully took her money.
The three, all believed to be white males, fled from the scene in their white vehicle.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and so far, police have made no arrests in connection with the incident.
